International Day of Happiness

It’s International Day of Happiness, a day to celebrate and to reflect on all the things that we have that, put simply, make us happy. And we’re not just talking about that third (accidental) post-lunch chocolate biscuit that you’ve just enjoyed, although we’re sure that has made you very happy too! We’re talking about the holistic meaningful things that allow us to live happy and fulfilling lives.

Since 2013, the United Nations has celebrated the International Day of Happiness as a way to recognise the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world. In 2015 the UN launched 17 Sustainable Development Goals that seek to end poverty, reduce inequality, and protect the planet – three key aspects that lead to well-being and happiness. These 17 interlinked goals, adopted by the 193 Member States of the United Nations, aim to protect the world’s people and the planet so that everyone, no matter where they live, can live their happiest lives.

Now if that’s not something to be celebrated then we don’t know what is!

We, without doubt, are an extremely lucky bunch of individuals here at Stills HQ. Based in a brilliant and thriving city, surrounded by family and friends (and some pretty brilliant colleagues), with opportunities a plenty. We have everything to celebrate, and everything to be happy about!

Happy International Day of Happiness from Stills HQ.
