Stills rebrands Welsh charity

Following a competitive pitch, Stills is privileged to have been chosen to undertake a rebrand of Welsh children’s charity, Tŷ Hafan. Tŷ Hafan offers comfort, care and support to life-limited children and their families, helping them make the most of the time they have left together. Since the charity was established 10 years ago, the organisation has evolved significantly, meaning the original brand identity no longer accurately represents the work of the charity and its volunteers.

A complete brand overhaul was therefore necessary in order to understand the views of the organisation’s key stakeholders, define the charity’s brand values and develop a new brand identity.

“Following quite extensive research, we used the results to define Tŷ Hafan’s brand values and personality and to set communication, design and language guidelines for the future” said David Lea, Creative Director at Stills. “This project has been a great challenge for everyone involved because of the sensitive nature of the work done by Tŷ Hafan and also because of the need to engage equally with parents of life-limited children, as well as potential donors – the communication challenges have therefore been quite complex. But the new brand identity reflects the values of the organisation far more effectively and really says what they do and how they do it”.

As well as developing the new brand, Stills is also designing a new suite of communication materials to launch the new brand, including literature, website, advertising, signage, campaign materials, promotional items and livery. The new brand will be launched in spring 2009.
