Bringing studio sustainability to bear

Brief

A brand identity for a studio that bears sustainability in mind.

We were asked by our friends at Evermore Group to design a new brand and visual identity, and to design and build a web presence, on behalf of Studio Arth (arth meaning bear in Welsh).

We were delighted at the opportunity to strengthen an emerging, ethical business local to us in South Wales.

Providing the backdrop and locations for prominent films and programmes including War of the Worlds, Atlantis, several BBC TV series and Netflix’s Sex Education, we knew that Studio Arth required a robust and unique brand identity.

Strength and stability. We were inspired by what bears symbolise – as well as Studio Arth’s commitment to sustainable storytelling.

Solution

We developed a brand mark and style for Studio Arth that fuses the imagery of a bear with a nod to a camera, to create a flexible and memorable visual.

The visual concept was rolled out across a suite of animation elements, social media assets, signage and way-finding.

For brand awareness, new business acquisition and as an effective marketing and communications tool, we designed and built Studio Arth’s brand-new portfolio website.
