Gwent Cables had been manufacturing their products for a decade when they came to us for help. With a range of products for many differing sectors, they wanted some guidance on how to appeal to those varying markets.

After conducting extensive market research, we found that they were struggling to stand out in such a busy, highly competitive market place. At the time, a lot of their consumers purchased from them primarily due to their location – which wasn’t the best way. We wanted them to be seen as something on a much grander scale, as a custom cable design and manufacturing specialist.

They undertook a brand blueprint with us, as an essential way for them to understand who they were and where they were going. We helped them realise and understand their core values, ethics and the way they wanted to be viewed by their customers.

With a clear idea of who Gwent Cables were, we created a striking identity for them, embracing the grids and guides as part of the artwork. By leaving these visible in both the mark and stationery, we highlighted the level of accuracy and perfection used in everything they do. Taking this forward, we created an icon and website animation style based on simple, precise lines that evoke the same brand idea, as well as nodding to cable structures.
